Andalusia Masad
M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
I am a speech-language pathologist based in San Francisco. I earned my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master’s in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Francisco State University.
I have over six years of experience supporting communication for individuals of all ages. I specialize in early intervention, speech sound disorders, and school-age language development. I love creating engaging, playful learning experiences that help children grow into confident communicators.
Outside of work, you’ll find me practicing Arabic or Spanish, sprinting on a track, or cooking with my husband.

Personalized speech and language therapy for every communicator
therapy services
Speech therapy is available in-home, on-site (daycares, preschools, public settings), and online via Google Meet. Therapy sessions are designed to be functional and engaging. In a supportive space, children build their skills while experiencing the joy and connection that comes from being understood.
-
A speech and language evaluation is an assessment that culminates in a comprehensive understanding of someone’s communication skills. I evaluate voice, fluency, articulation, understanding, and use of language to determine if there are any areas that may benefit from intervention.
-
Therapy focuses on improving the quality, pitch, and volume of one’s voice through exercises that support healthy vocal function and effective communication.
-
During stuttering therapy I incorporate the Blank Center CARE Model, helping individuals embrace their stutter, build confidence, communicate effectively, and advocate for themselves.
-
Therapy focuses on increasing speech clarity by addressing underlying causes (e.g., articulation errors, phonological patterns, apraxia) through structured, evidence-based approaches.
-
Language includes expressive language (how we use words to express thoughts and ideas) and receptive language (how we understand and process what others say). Therapy services support a range of language areas, including:
Early intervention
School-age language delays
Gestalt language processing
Social communication skills
-
Trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, I also provide support for pre-literacy skills, reading development, and reading comprehension.

In-Person Therapy: I provide speech therapy throughout many neighborhoods in San Francisco, with the most availability in Glen Park, Sunnyside, Mission Terrace, Excelsior, and Ingleside. I also serve other neighborhoods, depending on my current schedule and travel routes. Availability is based on my ability to accommodate new clients within my existing home and site visits.
Virtual therapy: I offer virtual speech therapy to individuals located anywhere in California.
How long will I or my child need speech therapy?
The duration of speech therapy depends on individual needs and progress. After an initial evaluation, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan with clear goals. Therapy may conclude when those goals are achieved, or adjustments may be made along the way as progress is monitored. Everyone moves at their own pace—some may have long-term communication needs, while others may focus on specific goals that are reached more quickly. Ultimately, the length of therapy will depend on the unique needs and goals of each individual.
“Andalusia was truly helpful over the two years she worked with our child. Kind, patient, responsive and professional with a deep knowledge of the subject at hand.
While attending almost every session, I saw firsthand the rapport that grew between therapist and client through gentle, firm work that adapted to the changing needs of our son. I highly recommend Ms. Masad!”

“As a mom of two children in need of therapy, I have come across many different therapists and I could clearly tell that Andalusia loves working with children and is very experienced. My son benefited a lot from her and was excited to work with her every week, he still asks about her until this day. Andalusia always asked for my opinion when writing goals to ensure that she was not missing anything. She shared progress and suggestions about how we can help him at home.”
